•  I’ve landed in paradise! I am in the Balearic Islands, on Mallorca. It’s sunny and warm. A gentle breeze comes off the crystal clear water. The colors are tourmaline and deep blue. The country side here on the northeast is rocky and quite dry, speckled with a variety of pine that I’ve yet to learn the name of.  We are biking. We is my friend Colleen and I. We are biking through the Serra de Tramuntana, the mountainous region of the north. It’s beautiful here. I know it’s only my 3rd day on the Island but I’m giddy in love. I love speaking Spanish and being understood! I love the olives, tapas, paella! I love the sun and the laid back rythym of life. It is so nice to be in comforts after 2 weeks hiking on the GR20. For those of you who like to use Google Earth, we are starting in Porto Pollenca, on the northeast side of the Island. The bike ride was out to Cap Formentor.
